Poem

I started this some time ago, by the sounds of it, it wasn't the brightest time in my life... today I finished it :D

I feel asleep one night
and down I fell
a dream of bugs and bells
The fire burnt bright
the shadows grew deeper
I hope i awake to daylight strong
and an ever deepening understanding
and voice for your song

Saturday, August 20

Clearing out my laptop sharing the poem and thoughts - mostly half finished so they're gone from my computer but not lost forever.

*

Find the soul of the lost
Taste the hour that eclipses
Know that tomorrows walk will add blisters on to blisters
Time shall not bear easy on you
Nor shall the road be smooth
Fight for tooth and nail upon the rocky path
For tomorrow will not be easier
But maybe it won't be harder

*

You have called me
All that I am
Put me here in this moment
Standing with the lamb

You gave me a map
And You ask me to pray
To work with you on my direction
Everyday

You ask me to intercess
For my fellow travellors
For their paths and directions
Are important to you to

For we all serve your glory
The glory of the king
Our direction faces into you
To you our praise we sing.

*

To the glory of your name
I bring to you my life in praise.

How can you accept us?
I’ve seen the work our hands have done
Crazy shameful moments
Time wasters, life suckers
Criminals, hypocrites
Murders, surfers.
Middle class mums
And high class dads
Working class aunts
And vagabond uncles.
Brothers and sisters lost and in pain
Wandering feet and wandering spirits
Life with incredible limits.
Boundaries and walls
I can’t imagine how they can fall
How can your inexhaustible love
infiltrate into this pollution
into a world where you can be moving
yet few see you
and fewer seek you
Such disunity and helplessness

But Lord I have seen your people
Connected, praying, loving
Not judging.
I have seen their passion for you
Their love for your people
Who have answered your call
And stayed true to your word and work
I have seen hearts break with love for these people
And I have seen hearts mended here
I have seen people walk in humility
Walking ever closer to you
They have their eyes on the goal
And are solid in their foundations
Based upon the one true Cornerstone

They are a living for you Lord
And you supply and bless

To the glory of your name
In response
I bring to you my life in praise.

Will I

Hello you,
 How are you?
 Can you see me?
 I can see you!
 Will the sunshine tomorrow
And the rains keep at bay?
Will you be here to see me
And love me all the same?
Will the journey be so much easier
Or will be harder day-by-day?
Will each step be springy and light
Or held with drudgery and fear?
Will my voice be strong and true
Or a whisper faltering here?
Will I look on boldly forward
I truly know my way?
Or will I tentatively reach out slowly
Arms length away?
Could I wake up tomorrow and this is gone?
Could I walk away and forget?
Could I ever gain a love like this?
Could I ever run on forwards?
Will the questions get easier?
Then, I suppose, the answers get harder!
Will the disappointment be an honour?
Will my shame mean pride to you?
Will an answer mean new armour,
Or a brick wall between me and you?
When my hair goes grey and my walking is hobbled
When I grow to tired to sleep
Will I wake and wonder still my Lord
Or will you give me the rest I need?
I understand I know little
I understand, I’m not sure I wish to know more.
All I know
I am Yours
This is sure
My Lord.

Poem/Song

I wrote this poem whilst on camp, and one of the leaders and the boys turned into a song. I have the copy with the chords on kinda but as I don't understand chords....

Flames of the Spirit, burn my soul
Cleanse my heart, make me whole.
You've taken my burden
Carried me far
Come O Lord set me on fire
Fill me with your Holy Desire

Water of the Spirit, carry my soul
Clean my heart, make me whole.
Washing away my burden
Carrying me far
Come O  Lord Wash me a new
Give me more desire for you

Wind of the Spirit, blow on my soul
Bless my heart, make me whole
Blown away my burden
with me till a far
Come O Lord breathe on me
Make my desire you to seek

Loving Lord and Spirit, you have me soul
Yours is my heart making me whole
Gone are my burdens
You are with me
Come O lord, Come O Lord
I ask: be my desire forever more.

Startfragment

Its not the end point the journey?
Its not the its the end point?
Its never the start!

We race towards the goal, but we walk along a narrow path. We all started somewhere.

Start fragment. End together. Journey... still being undertaken.

People please bare with me, we all started at different places all on different paths going to one goal. My map might not read the same as yours.

Sunday, July 11

One step, dare you.

One step, dare you.
Then just another,
Keep on walking,
Past the crowd.
Everyone may be watching,
Some may even take notice,
Some will walk against you,
Some will never see.
Dare you, keep moving,
Keep moving, taking ground,
Solid foundations,
No faking these relations.
Look around see them moving with you,
Listening, different paths,
One destination.
Dare you.
Keep Moving.
Dare you.

Saturday, April 11

guess what... a poem

like a firework
ive zoomed across the sky
flown high
wondering
pondering
falsifying
and terrifying
but not at all undiluting
but ever so likely
that one day i will go boom
a bright fright
for you all

Friday, April 10

anothe poem hot of the press

when the world runs quiet
and you turn up late
its not the desire that makes us hate
for if the love of a journey
was to make it to the end
then would it drive us round the bend
to be a lone
once in a while
maybe take that longer mile
this world can take it's toll
but when it does take the bus
the jounrey will be easier on us
and tomorrow
when the world's okay
remember me this happy way
and not what i feel

Thursday, April 9

dont wanna stand here
but i cant walk away
my pain and shame
fading into the once coloured frame
what this world needs is a hero
super-slogan and hope
time for him to rise
come from the grave
three days dead
who but can he save
and on the dawn of dusk here cries
the angels by and at his side
tomorrow this world will be different
for once again I have my king
and praises to him i will sing

Tuesday, April 7

Weeping, wasting
leaving lately
I watch the sun set
across the water
I watch it rise across the skies
And i watch the sun linger midless
along the streets they walk
for time is swiftly fleeting
along this lonely floor
and as i see the pairings shatter
i watch the postcards flutter
from rescue me to save the trees
Pictures float past
different windows
winning motives
and if faith has to play
it's smallundevaiting path
then we should know it's bigger
bigger than what we see
larger than what we know
huger than you and me
the mess we have laid down
the typing of random scenes
linked so cleaverly with rhyming words
for this broken world is all i see
it's scenes include the summer fields
and the snowy mountian tops
but more it is the war torn desert
and gun ravaged streets
and all it takes is the tears of a child
to see the human inside us all
scared, lost alone

I'm crying
not for you or me
but for this broken world
as that is all I can see

Monday, April 6

tomorrow is a different day
lets up it changes us in a different way
shape up shake up its time to see
that its not your time to believe in me
turn round look back at the deep blue see
my friends are already on the attack
they create and they collapse
they shape and they relapse
but im not sure i care
im not sure if i can stay awake no more
im to tired to stand its time for me to fall
its time for you to believe in yourself
its time for me to fall

Tuesday, March 31

madness persues only thoses
who can escape, but the trails of an ordianry man,
may fade away away in time
but, only by his own hand,
and if then the world could be,
what all men wish to see,
will he have done his part
through hunger and emptiness of heart,
and all who no this feeling crave it
like figs to a dove,
they name it love

Friday, March 27

poem, revised edition

And if they all took time to look
then maybe they would see
step, back, relax, it's fine, really
I'm still me

Just reach out to let me know
you will stick and stay around
for time is slipping past my friend
and my feet have lost there ground

Well if tomorrow I say goodbye
please just take no attention
I'm only just freaking out
about this new sensation

Maybe time will halt for us
maybe time will stop for old friends
then we will never have to move on
and this will never have to end

Listening to the rain

I was listening to the rain last night instead of typing and instead I wrote this:

It comes down always comes down
it never seems to stop rain upon this ground
its like the tears that fall in heartache
or joyful eye watering in a happy break
but yet this moment this sound seems lonely
like a lone man crying for those who have, has and are lost
humming himself a drum beat
upon these forgotten streets
maybe its time for us all to meet
just one last time
before the night comes

Saturday, March 21

A thought filled poem

sometimes saturdays seem so lonely
and sundays seem so solemn
Mondays asre a moment
and tusedays more stoic than a roman column
wednesday is distant
and thursday looking sad
friday once again goes quick
and thats a week to be had

maybe as the months go by
the pace will pass and quicken
and then when years have comed to pass
a slowness they will sicken

but for now each day so seems the same
and drifts by evermore
and sleepily we dream it by
forgetting to wish for more

A lot

I have a lot to be thankful for,
A life still to live,
A dream still to strive,
Food at my table still to eaten.
One more sunrise,
As I'm sure tomorrow has no end.
Strike me down but see me rise.
I will no longer fall short of what I am,
Because thats putting my friends,
And me down.

Friday, February 20

Sometimes I wonder what I am doing. Some might think it's a constant state for me. Even stranger for me is I'm trying to work out me and a dress. A dress. The cobwebs also now are duly dusted and if the 3 mile cycle wasnt enough a bracing game of crazy golf with awesome Ruth was fun followed by a walk on the beach and a dip in the sea was just what I needed, I also nearly got ran over by a friend. am on physio again the excersises are painful but I will bear them to get better.

And you where supportive
And you where there
You where never angry
Just a few miles away maybe
And I know your never mine
But the poems where just on lines
And although its only through a mirror we say this

But its only by the time

Wednesday, February 18

It's time to do something, something that will dust away the cobwebs time for a cycle so early on this morning, as for you reading have a poem...

my feet keep walking
its not a straight path
this messaging is uncertain
esp. if you don’t have a past
eagle and hawks fly high
thinking the world quite funny
esp. if they can’t see what we are doing hunny

Tuesday, February 17

The strange path of one walking in the spirit.

1) EYES - Known = He not only sees you He knows you.
2) CANDLE FLAME -Lord I want this night to end Lord let your day begin.
3) STARS - You are one in a million. You are special and truly amazing. You are created in Gods image. The word BEAUTIFUL was created to describe God; you are made in his likeness. Praise God for you. Amen
4)SKY - Night = Gods over thrown it. Yay.
5) WATER -Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. John 6: 35 Come to the living fountain and Drink
6)FOOD - Full on the Spirit. Full on the Bread of life. You are what you eat.
Jesus said, “I am the bread of life” John 6:35

7)FIELDS -We are the Lords crop, in him we will grow and others around us will grow as well.
8)LEAVES - Death = Ugly or beautiful? Heaven? There are several mansions there. You will go home to your father.
9)MUSIC -Sing praise, sing praise, sing praise, sing praise, Forever God is faithful, forever God is strong, forever God is with us, Forever forever.
10) STONES - Nail = I created you and made you. Do you need something else to measure my love for you by? This should be enough. Look at this and remember me. You are truly loved do not doubt it.

Different parts in a Christian Life. Realisation mainly. God is here with us. Now, Forever, Always.
1) Looks at the God that made us, like in Psalm 139, that he knows us before we are here.
2)Is the descion we make in our life to become a Christian commit our lives to God.
3)The realisation that we where made by God in His image, as part of His Glory, as part of His Family, as part of His body.
4)Is the dark parts in our life, being a Christian isn't easy, just a little lighter.
5)IS our thirst for God, linked with
6) Our hunger for God's word
7)Is about the way we act, being a Christian not in words but in actions, by what we do not what we say
8)Is the end, who really knows, but I hope for Heaven
9) Is our life of worship the never ending beat of what we face with God
10) Is the central focus of it all. God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit.

The promise is a funny thing
It never promised sun
Yet in the briefest moments
You can see the victory is won

The promise is a funny thing
The path was never easy
Yet in the briefest moments
You can see the victory isn’t measly

The promise is a funny thing
The skies aren’t always blue
Yet in the briefest moments
You can see the victory is a different hue

The promise is a funny thing
It never promised no pain
Yet in the briefest moments
You can see the victory isn’t lame

The promise is a funny thing
The promise was for strength
And in the briefest moments
You can see the victory at length

The promise is a funny thing
It may have promised rest
And in the briefest moments
You can see the victory is no test

The promise is a funny thing
It always promised light
And in the briefest moments
You can see the victory in sight

The promise is a funny thing
The promise was for strength
And in the briefest moments
You can see the victory at length

The promise is a funny thing
It promises us grace
And in the briefest moments
You can see the victory is the case

The promise is a funny thing
It promises help from above
And in the briefest moments
You can see the victory is love

The promise is a funny thing
It promises love undying
And it takes no brief moment
To see the victory that God wasn’t lying

Believe

I have a friend who hasn't been at college for a while due to the fact that she kept fainting, she has kept smling though and has chosen my poems for the last two days has chosen my poems. So for today this is for Sharna. Keep believing, everyone keep believing.

Believe your heart

and follow your soul

discard your head

and enjoy this bore

we don’t live long

we always move on

so make that merry merry song

join the dance

make up the steps

and play the game

the game to life

make your rules

and the path you choose

you just can’t lose

don’t expect the steps not to fall away

and your feet not to pay

just don’t be afraid

leave the large door open

and don’t close the windows either

retrieve the music

discard the silence

feel the warmth

yet know the shadows

walk away and you

you will never see the light of day

argue for what you see

have faith in yourself

be who you are

not the person they want to see

you just have to believe
